Opportunities to Serve
The Academy is now offering opportunities to serve on a variety of committees and task forces. If you're looking to have an impact within the Academy, here is your chance! DIFM needs more of its members and their perspectives at the national level. Join a committee and let your voice be heard.
The Academy has many talented leaders and we hope you will consider volunteering to serve on an Academy committee or task force during the 2016-2017 program year. If you're interested in volunteering for an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics committee, complete the Opportunities to Serve Survey. The survey is now available and will be available through February 11, 2016.

Listen to the Viewpoints of the Academy's Candidates for President-elect and Speaker-elect at the Meet the Candidates Forum. The Academy is hosting two webinars for a unique opportunity to meet the Academy's president-elect and speaker-elect candidates on the 2016 ballot. Moderator Roberta Anding, MS, RD/LD, CSSD, CDE, will pose questions to the candidates to help members gain insight to their perspectives and views.

The Meet the Candidates Forum webinars are free to Academy members. 1.0 CPEU hour is available for members attending each live webinar. The webinars will be recorded for future playback on www.eatrightPRO.org/elections.
Food and Nutrition Task Force
The Academy's Food and Nutrition Security Task Force has invited us to complete a short survey developed by Feeding America, and individuals in the health, nutrition and hunger-relief sectors are encouraged to participate (e.g., researchers/academics, non-profit executives and staff, community partners, practitioners/providers, volunteers, students, analysts, advocates and advisors).
The goal of this 5-7 minute survey is to obtain your input on the resources and content you need to best support individuals experiencing food insecurity. Your responses will help to refresh a website, HealthyFoodBankHub.org, to better meet your professional needs and those of the communities we collectively serve.
Complete this survey by January 31, 2016 to be eligible to win a $100 VISA gift card.
HealthyFoodBankHub.org (Hub) is a website aimed at educating, connecting and engaging professionals around the intersection of food insecurity (hunger), nutrition and health. This intersection is a growing area of research and focus across many sectors, and the website has proven to be a unique resource for professional content.
