We believe good health and vitality are essential to the human spirit. Functional medicine is a personalized, systems-oriented model that empowers patients and practitioners to achieve the highest expression of health by working in collaboration to address the underlying cause of disease. The main objective of The Institute for Functional Medicine is to reverse today’s epidemic of chronic disease through education, research, and collaboration. The primary drivers of the chronic disease epidemic are the complex daily interactions among an individual’s genetics, environment, and lifestyle choices. Functional medicine addresses these underlying causes of disease and equips healthcare practitioners to help their patients manage this complex, interconnected web. IFM provides DIFM members with:

  • IFM Membership discounted rate includes an online resource, the IFM Clinical Practice Toolkit, and the opportunity to interact with other functional medicine practitioners on the IFM Forum.
