Immediately following the Member Reception, DIFM-invited panelists will discuss how they entered the field of Integrative and Functional Nutrition and answer questions. While this will be student-focused forum, all members are welcome to attend.
This is a must-attend event for DIFM student members.


Mary Purdy, MS, RDN works at the Scientific Wellness company, Arivale, in Seattle,  as Clinical Training Lead and Coach, providing nutrition and lifestyle counseling to clients using personalized genetic data and functional labs to help them improve their health. She is also the host of a nutrition web series and podcast called “Mary’s Nutrition Show”, where humor meets health.

Denine Rogers, MS, RDN, LD, FAND  is the owner of Living Healthy (website: www.livinghealthy1.org) and works full-time as a nutritional consultant in telemedicine at Anthem.  She is also a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Volunteer Master Gardener and Secretary of Dietitians of Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM).

Kathie Madonna Swift, MS, RDN, LDN, FAND, EBQ is the co-founder of the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy, (www.IFNAcademy.com), a 100% online functional nutrition training program. She created and directed cutting-edge nutrition programs at Dr. Mark Hyman’s UltraWellness Center, Canyon Ranch Health Resorts and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Kathie is the author of two books on digestive health, The Swift Diet and The Inside Tract and an elimination diet ebook, MyFoundation Diet.

Lisa Shkoda, RDN, CSP, CNSC, FAND has helped to establish and develop the Ketogenic Diet Therapy Program for Epilepsy at the University of Virginia Health System (UVA HS). For three years, she has successfully used ketogenic diets to treat seizures in kids and adults. Currently, Lisa is an oncology dietitian at the UVA HS and is looking forward to exploring the use of ketogenic diets in cancer treatment.

Olivia Wagner, MS, RDN, LDN works for Aligned Modern Health, an integrative health and wellness company in Chicago.  As a part of the Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition team, Olivia provides nutrition counseling, guides patients through therapeutic diets, and creates individualized dietary recommendations based on functional lab testing and an integrative nutrition assessment.

Lucy Ferdon, RD, CD is US National Sales Manager for Atrium Innovations Professional division, which includes the Pure Encapsulations, Douglas Laboratories and Genestra brands.  She is fortunate to lead a brilliant team (including several RDs and other healthcare practitioners) in their purpose of empowering healthy lives through representing a global leader in vitamins, minerals and supplements with a proven reputation for premium quality, science-based, professionally recognized products.
