What Our Members Are Saying
Membership in DIFM has been one of the single most important investments I’ve made in my private practice. Having access to the Natural Standards website alone has helped me to educate so many of my patients (and referral sources) to be more aware of the potential interactions and nutritional implications of common OTC and prescription medications. I also love having the ability to access other members and experts in the IFMNT arena thru the EML and post questions about my most difficult cases. The educational resources are amazing, timely, and very relevant to my daily practice. Needless to say, DIFM membership is the best $40 I can spend!
In a professional world where there is a lot of skepticism I feel like DIFM has given me a home where I can be myself and find like minded colleagues. Having access to the minds, resources, and experience of our members is like taking a mini tutorial every day.
DIFM has literally become my professional family. I have not only expanded my dietetic expertise and dove deeper into the complexities of nutrition science from the time I was an undergraduate to becoming a practicing RDN, but have repeatedly been blown away by the level of camaraderie and the bar that is continuously raised to practice excellence in dietetics from this group. The member benefits, support, educational opportunities and professional resources offered in addition to the experience from my fellow integrative RDNs are invaluable and unparalleled. DIFM fuels my nutritional fire everyday!
DIFM is an amazing way to meet like-minded, driven, and passionate individuals in the field of dietetics. I am continuously thankful for the people I have met and the invaluable advice they generously share. Joining the DPG as a student, I felt tremendously welcome by the many seasoned members. Everyday DIFM teaches me something new and I can only imagine the incredible personal and career growth I will experience in the future as I continue to function as an active DIFM member.
Olivia Wagner, MS, RDN
I love DIFM so much that I decided to go back to school for my Masters in Complementary Alternative Medicine, specializing in Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy. I have learned so much since becoming a member of DIFM! From nutrigenomics to using the Natural Medicines/Natural Database, becoming an Integrative Dietitian has allowed me to treat my clients better. The Integrative RD newsletter provides relevant up-to-date information on functional nutrition and emerging research on Nutritional Genomics. I am so glad that I joined DIFM and will encourage others RDNs to join also.
